Let me introduce you to Surface Duo. If you are a multitasker, business executive, business owner, or just a millennial living a busy (but normal) digital life… oh my goodness, Microsoft has teamed up with Google Android to give us folks a new productivity toy that will change the game in the industry completely. Also, can we just take a pause on how absolutely gorgeous this Surface Duo ad is?? Big claps to Microsoft’s advertising agency!
Surface Duo Release Date
It’s not available until next holiday in 2020, and I can only imagine they might increase the retail price due to the demand for an innovative and unique product on the shelf, but whatever. I’ll buy it.
Coming Holiday 2020. The perfect balance of productivity and mobility. Surface Duo is a new dual-screen device that fits in your pocket. With two screens connected by a revolutionary 360° hinge, Surface Duo brings together the best of Microsoft and Android to reimagine productivity on the go.
Surface Duo for Productivity
I’ve always been a Samsung Note, Android, PC kind of girl. As my main job is a senior producer, project manager, and consultant… I am always on the go. Whether I am running from one meeting to another, or need to deescalate a fire by getting on a conference call, emailing quick responses, or simply adding tasks to my Any.Do to-do list that pops in my head whilst I am multi-tasking and on the go…. this would increase my efficiency by 10 fold. Not only that, this would allow me to be 1) portable and 2) present.
When I am in a meeting, I hate to be multi-tasking, because that means that I am not 100% there, focused, or not contributing as much. By having this portable device, I can take the key meeting notes that I need, and have access to my email or files if I need to pull them up for reference.
Technology That Works For Me
It’s been a long time since I got fired up over new technology. Even the new iPhone and Google Books are a joke to me…
Yes, the past few years multiple companies such as LG have been trying to break in the market with a dual-screen phone, but it never “wowed” me because there was no practicality that would have actually impacted my world, my day-to-day.
I’m super excited, and I was so bummed it won’t be ready for this Christmas in 2019… but it’ll be ready for next Christmas in 2020. Hopefully, they will have a pre-order option.
